With a combined total of 95 years of experience in the Chemical Coatings Technology Industry, Royal Coatings, Inc. is proud of our extensive education, research, and development in the field.

Our Executive MBA Team brings diverse professional backgrounds and experiences, and our Leadership Team includes dedicated on-site Chemists, Chemical Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers. We are passionate about technologies and are always striving for better, newer, and smarter solutions.

Mark Parker

President & CEO

Mark joined Royal in 2012, bringing a lifetime of industry leadership, paint & coating innovation, and senior management experience. He started his career as a formulation chemist, developing coating and adhesives for Polaroid Corporation in 1993. During his career, he also produced UV curable coatings and an industry-first vapor barrier for sheet-molded composites. Mark then progressed through management positions at Fortune Brands, Red Spot, and Bush Industries.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from UMass Lowell and a Master of Business Administration.

Brooks Arruda

Director of Sales & Service

Brooks joined Royal in 2021, and has built his leadership skills and knowledge through his work in paint, coatings, and equipment. His expertise extends to all of the production phases of ductile iron pipe, in which he began his career in 1981. He has worked at and managed Griffin Pipe, US Pipe, and McWane Ductile. Brooks has worked closely with all foundries to achieve outstanding finished products over the last 20 years.

He attended Rowan University and is Six Sigma certified.

Owen Jones Square

Owen Jones, Jr.

Chairman
Owen has more than 23 years of experience in the Coatings Industry and currently presides over the board of directors. Owen holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. from Tulane University in New Orleans. He is a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC).
Ray Pateder Square

Ramesh Pateder

Senior Chemist
Ray has more than 50 years of experience in the Chemical Coatings Technology Industry. Specializing in marine and industrial coatings, he has provided industry-leading expertise to Mobil Chemical Company (now ExxonMobil), Sherwin Williams, and SealMaster. Ray was the principle founder of Allstates Coatings Company. His educational background includes a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, and he is a Certified Surface Coatings (CSC) Expert.
