Microbiological Corrosion (MIC)

This advanced, EPA-registered (10/3/2024) solution serves as a first-of-its-kind alternative to traditional chemical or mechanical treatments for mitigating Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC). This proprietary, patent-pending (U.S. Application No. 18/626,558) system is fully applicable and able to cure completely under immersed, underwater conditions. It is specifically engineered to neutralize bacterial classes responsible for billions of dollars in annual asset damage, including sulfate-reducing, acid-producing, and metal-reducing organisms. Designed for critical infrastructure, this technology offers superior protection for oil and hydrocarbon storage tanks, offshore pipelines, maritime ballast tanks, cooling towers, and wastewater systems. Beyond corrosion defense, the system’s antimicrobial functionality is designed to stop the accumulation of invasive species, such as zebra mussels, in water intakes.
